To get an inside look at one of our most impactful design partnerships, we connected with Jennifer Nye, Chief Marketing and Creative Officer at Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering. Jennifer shared her perspective on the long-standing collaboration between Momentum and the Stacy Garcia® Design Studio, insights into the newly launched 2025 vinyl wallcovering collection, and her outlook on the future of commercial interiors.

A Partnership Built on Trust, Creativity, and Shared Vision
Momentum and the Stacy Garcia® Studio have been collaborating on collections that are both visionary and performance-focused—designed with hospitality in mind, but influential across commercial interiors of all types.
“Our philosophy for bringing products to market is very aligned,” Jennifer shares. “We both believe in creating unique, one-of-a-kind designs that give designers options—real, usable choices—but always with a performance mindset.”
So what’s the secret to sustaining a successful creative partnership over the years? For Jennifer, it comes down to consistency, curiosity, and trust. “There’s a dedication to the relationship, yes—but also to the industry, and to innovation through trends rather than fleeting fads. Stacy brings that perspective to everything she touches.”
Over time, this philosophy has helped shape and evolve the Blue Label brand into a design-forward, trend-setting series of textiles that still honors its legacy. It’s a balance of respecting what works while always moving toward what’s next.
The 2025 Vinyl Wallcovering Collection: Nature, Reimagined
Launched in January 2025, the latest vinyl wallcovering collection between Momentum and the Stacy Garcia Design Studio is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world. But this isn’t just another “organic-inspired” release—it’s a textural, layered, and deeply thoughtful exploration of how nature can inform the built environment.
“The aim was to infuse commercial spaces with a sense of tranquility and connection,” Jennifer explains. “We drew inspiration from organic textures and natural forms and translated them into patterns that feel familiar, but elevated.”
The result? A collection that invites pause. Patterns like Hierarchy bring a bold energy to lobbies and conference spaces with its layered brushstroke motif. Unwind, featuring abstract leaf silhouettes, is perfect for spa environments or wellness rooms. For spaces that call for a more subtle touch, Echelon offers a smaller-scale interpretation of Hierarchy—delivering the same sense of depth and rhythm, but in a more refined, understated way. “Designers can really use these patterns to create immersive environments,” Jennifer says. “It’s about comfort, beauty, and a sense of grounding.”
Beyond aesthetics, Jennifer is especially proud of how the collection performs: “We’ve incorporated embossed textures and subtle reflective elements that add depth and dimension—making the walls almost feel alive. And the collection is also phthalate-free, GREENGUARD certified, and bleach cleanable. It’s beautiful and sustainable.”

Industry Shifts: From Minimalism to Maximalism
As a leader in the design space, Jennifer has a front-row seat to the trends shaping the future of hospitality and commercial interiors. Lately, she’s been particularly energized by what she calls curated maximalism.
“There’s a shift happening,” she notes. “We’re moving away from that ultra-airy, minimalist look into something richer—layered textures, colors, prints, and statement pieces. It’s not about chaos, though. It’s thoughtful. Intentional.”
She points to techniques like wallcovering drenching—where bold patterns extend across walls and ceilings—as one way designers are embracing this movement. “It creates a real sense of immersion,” she says. “And when you combine complementary patterns in the right way, it adds intrigue without overwhelming the space.”
Sustainability, of course, continues to play a central role in the evolution of product design. “Clients are more aware than ever of environmental impact,” Jennifer says. “We’ve always had a strong focus on sustainable materials, but the demand has really accelerated. Last year, we launched Circon™ with Versa—a carbon-neutral, bio-sourced Type II vinyl wallcovering—and it’s been incredibly well received. It’s proof that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand.”
On Momentum’s Design Ethos—and Advice for the Next Generation
When asked what excites her most about working in wallcoverings and textiles, Jennifer doesn’t hesitate.
“I love that we don’t play it safe,” she says. “At Momentum, we thrive on being bold. Innovation isn’t just a buzzword—it’s how we think, how we create, how we collaborate. We’re always asking ourselves, ‘What’s next?’ And then we go chase it.”
That spirit of curiosity and risk-taking is baked into every collection. But it’s never innovation for innovation’s sake. “We always make sure it performs,” she adds. “That balance of fearless creativity and real-world functionality—that’s where the magic is.”
For designers specifying wallcoverings for hospitality or commercial spaces, Jennifer offers this: don’t overlook the potential of wallcovering as a storytelling tool.
“There are so many opportunities to explore texture and dimensionality,” she says. “It can be playful, it can be functional—like with our Pindrop collection, which offers acoustic benefits—but it’s also one of the most flexible tools in your design arsenal. With digital printing and the right substrates, if you can dream it, you can print it. Your design vision can come to life.”
