Partner Spotlight Q&A with Signature Flooring: The Making of the Rendezvous Collection

A Conversation with Angie Law & Beth James of Signature Flooring, Hosted by Samantha Garcia

For this month’s Partner Spotlight, we’re diving into the story behind The Rendezvous Collection, our first of many collections in collaboration with Signature Flooring. To celebrate this launch, Samantha Garcia, Marketing Associate at Stacy Garcia Design Studio, sat down with Angie Law, Head of Marketing, and Beth James, Head of Product at Signature Flooring for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how this partnership came to life.

From the inspiration behind Rendezvous to the creative process of bringing it to market, we’re uncovering what makes this collection a game-changer for hospitality flooring—and why it’s just the beginning of an exciting partnership.

Q: What drew Signature Flooring to collaborate with Stacy Garcia Design Studio?

Angie: Our collaboration with Stacy Garcia Design Studio was built on a foundation of a great connection and shared vision. Stacy’s proven track record for creating trend-driven yet timeless designs aligns perfectly with our product direction strategy. Her innovative approach complements our goal of delivering holistic, design-forward solutions for the hospitality market. Together, we’ve combined artistry and functionality to meet the evolving needs of our customers, making this partnership both a creative and strategic success.

Q: This is the first collection from our new partnership between Stacy Garcia Studio and Signature Flooring. What was special about this collaboration for you?

Angie: From the very beginning, this partnership felt different. The way Stacy and her team approach design is deeply rooted in storytelling, and that resonated with us. They bring such a visionary and trend-forward perspective, while we focus on making sure those designs translate seamlessly into high-performance hospitality flooring. It was the perfect blend of creative energy and technical expertise.

Beth: It was also refreshing to work with a team that is so hands-on in the creative process. Stacy and her team didn’t just submit artwork and let us figure it out—they were fully engaged in every stage, from color development to textural finishes. That level of collaboration made this collection truly special.

Q: The Rendezvous Collection is designed as a holistic flooring solution. Can you share more about how it was developed to meet the needs of hospitality designers?

Beth: Hospitality projects require a cohesive design approach across different spaces—lobbies, guest rooms, corridors, meeting areas—so we wanted to create a collection that makes specification seamless. That’s why Rendezvous includes four coordinated flooring types: broadloom for statement spaces, guestroom carpet for warmth and comfort, modular carpet tile for flexibility, and LVT for durability in high-traffic areas.

Angie: The idea was to give designers a one-stop flooring solution that looks curated rather than pieced together from different collections. Everything ties back to the same story, which makes the entire design process smoother and more intentional.

Q: From a marketing perspective, what do you think will make Rendezvous stand out in the hospitality industry?

Angie: First, the storytelling behind the collection is what makes it so compelling. Hospitality designers are looking for more than just a flooring product—they want to specify materials that add to the guest experience. The name Rendezvous itself speaks to connection, gathering, and creating meaningful spaces. This is a collection that brings that idea to life through thoughtful design.

Second, the versatility of the collection makes it incredibly marketable. The ability to specify broadloom, carpet tile, and LVT in a way that’s fully coordinated is a huge value-add for designers. It’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about making their job easier by offering a complete, go-to solution.

Q: Where did the inspiration for Rendezvous come from? What themes guided the design?

Beth: The collection was inspired by the idea of gathering places—those spaces where people meet, linger, and connect. We looked at natural landscapes, woven textiles, and architectural details that evoke a sense of community and movement. Each design reflects an organic rhythm, whether it’s soft and flowing or structured and geometric.

As we worked on the color development, we focused on palettes that felt inviting and sophisticated. The result is a collection that designers can use across a wide range of aesthetics while maintaining a cohesive, high-end look.

Q: How do trends influence product development, and how did the merging of the Oasis and Tactile Luxury trends shape the Rendezvous Collection?

Beth: Trends are essential in hospitality design, guiding us toward materials and aesthetics that feel both current and timeless. When developing Rendezvous, we merged two key Stacy Garcia Studio forecasts: Oasis and Tactile Luxury. Oasis reflects nature’s calming influence, seen in organic patterns and a palette inspired by earth, sky, and minerals. Tactile Luxury focuses on sensory-rich design, which we translated into layered textures and surfaces that invite touch.

Q: How do you see this partnership evolving in the future?

Angie: This is just the beginning! The success of Rendezvous has shown us how powerful this collaboration is. We’re already working on future collections that will push the boundaries even further in terms of design, and performance,

Beth: Working with the Stacy Garcia Design Studio has been an incredible experience, and I think we’re only scratching the surface of what we can create together. We’re excited to continue evolving and bringing new innovations to hospitality flooring.
