This December, our studio left behind New York’s winter chill to experience the global hub of art and design—Miami. Between Art Basel’s groundbreaking galleries, the innovative showcases at Design Miami, and the bold street art of Wynwood Walls, the trip provided a firsthand look at the trends shaping the future of design.
For designers, trendsetters, and art enthusiasts, here’s what stood out most during our journey.
Art Basel 2024: Trends and Transformations
Art Basel didn’t disappoint. Walking through its curated galleries, we were immersed in diverse installations that blended traditional techniques with modern narratives. For our founder Stacy Garcia, the focus on sustainable art and textile-based installations stood out.
“The use of woven materials and eco-conscious approaches reaffirmed what our studio has been forecasting for years,” Stacy shared. Sustainability wasn’t just a theme—it was woven into every fiber of the event, both literally and figuratively.

Key Trends from Art Basel:
• Digital Immersion: Art meets technology through interactive installations.
• Eco-Conscious Design: Sustainability as a driving force in materials and themes.
• Traditional Craft, Modern Edge: Artists blending heritage techniques with forward-thinking creativity.
Design Miami: Where Innovation Meets Interiors

If Art Basel showcased fine art, Design Miami brought the future of interiors to life. From cutting-edge furniture to thought-provoking installations, this event challenged us to think beyond traditional design boundaries.

A standout for our team was WallFlower by Mathieu Lehanneur. Marketing Manager Augusta Haar described it as “living wallpaper” that combined color, texture, and dimension in a way that felt fresh and transformative. The fusion of interiors and fashion was a reminder that great design is about storytelling—an approach we’re eager to incorporate into our own work.
Wynwood Walls: Street Art and Raw Inspiration

No visit to Miami’s design scene is complete without experiencing the Wynwood Walls. Bursting with energy, the murals here celebrated culture, rebellion, and creativity without constraints.
Pieces by Vhils and Simon Berger were particularly striking, blending bold imagery with innovative techniques. The raw, unfiltered vibe of Wynwood reminded us that sometimes breaking the rules can lead to the most memorable moments.
What Designers Can Learn from Miami

Whether you’re a designer, trend forecaster, or art enthusiast, Miami offers invaluable insights into the future of design:
• Sustainability isn’t optional—it’s essential.
• Technology and traditional craftsmanship can coexist beautifully.
• Design should spark conversations and challenge conventions.
Even Miami’s infamous traffic couldn’t dampen the creative energy we found at every turn.
Takeaways for 2024 Design Trends
For those seeking fresh inspiration, here are the key takeaways from Art Basel and Design Miami:
• Eco-Friendly Materials: Expect sustainability to dominate across art, interiors, and product design.
• Blurring the Lines: Look for a continued fusion of fashion, interiors, and technology.
• Bold Storytelling: Art and design will increasingly focus on narratives that provoke thought and emotion.
As we head into 2025, we’re excited to channel these insights into our own collections. Miami reminded us why design matters—not just to decorate spaces, but to shape how we experience the world.
