For over 15 years, Brintons and The Stacy Garcia® Design Studio have shared a creative partnership defined by imagination, craftsmanship, and mutual respect. What began as a spark of shared inspiration has evolved into one of the most enduring collaborations in Axminster carpet design. Our relationship is one that is built on balance, trust, and a shared drive to innovate without losing sight of tradition.
A Partnership Built on Balance and Shared Vision
Johnny Massey, VP of Operations at Brintons, credits the partnership’s success to the way both teams complement each other.
“It works because we balance each other so well. Stacy’s team brings that forward-thinking design sensibility and strong storytelling, and we bring the craftsmanship and production know-how that make those ideas real. It’s a true creative partnership built on mutual respect and a shared passion for quality.”
Leah Jack, VP of Design for Brintons Americas, echoes that sentiment, emphasizing the personal and professional alignment that has guided the relationship over the years.
“Our personal values and goals have always aligned when it comes to design and color. Over time, that mutual respect for each other’s expertise and attention to detail has forged a great partnership and an even greater friendship. Our joint goal of raising the bar in the industry and setting trends rather than following them has made our collaborations more innovative and resilient.”

Craftsmanship Meets Creative Vision
Both Brintons and Stacy Garcia Design Studio share a deep commitment to quality and creativity, an alignment that has made their collaboration both seamless and ambitious.
“Brintons’ brand ethos and core values definitely align with Stacy’s vision for her own brand identity,” Leah explains. “Both value craftsmanship, innovation, and the importance of leading trends in design and color. Like our in-house team, Stacy is a disruptor of the expected, whether that’s through bold color choices or by reimagining familiar stories to inspire clients in new ways.”
Johnny adds that Brintons’ heritage plays a key role in bringing these ideas to life.
“Brintons has been weaving Axminster carpet for over 239 years, and that heritage is the foundation of everything we do. Our craftsmanship is built on generations of expertise and an uncompromising attention to detail. That deep knowledge allows us to embrace creative collaborations with confidence, translating visionary concepts into beautifully precise woven carpets without ever losing the integrity of our craft.”

The Latest Chapter: Imperfect Opulence
The newest collection, Imperfect Opulence, marks another creative high point in the Brintons x Stacy Garcia story. Leah describes it as a celebration of history, texture, and modern luxury.
“It successfully weaves the rich history of vintage textiles and techniques with a modern twist of warm luxury that feels familiar and inviting. The patterns and palettes have a hint of whimsy that makes the collection feel fresh and open to interpretation. It evokes the timeless joys of the Arts and Crafts movement, where the details are king, but there’s also a wonderfully imperfect aesthetic that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Wes Anderson film.”
Technically, Imperfect Opulence distinguishes itself by embracing irregularities and texture, elements that give the designs depth and authenticity.
“As the name suggests, the collection embraces the imperfections of the textile techniques that inspired it,” Leah says. “Subtle irregularities in the weave or distressed motifs drawn from block prints. Paying attention to the details doesn’t always mean striving for perfection. It’s the imperfections that give a pattern its personality and versatility.”
Versatility for Modern Hospitality Design
Leah shares that versatility and storytelling are key. Clients love the ability to recolor and rescale patterns to harmonize or dramatize their interiors. By weaving a story into each project, drawing from local history, flora, or fauna, designers can create spaces that feel individually crafted for the ultimate guest experience. Like all of Stacy’s Brintons collections, Imperfect Opulence is fully customizable and was developed with layering and flexibility at the forefront.
Reflecting on 15 Years of Standout Collections
Over the past 15 years, certain collaborations have become defining moments in the Brintons x Stacy Garcia partnership. Johnny Massey recalls Nouveau Boho as a pivotal collection that set the tone for what their collaboration could achieve.
“It captured the spirit of creative collaboration, Stacy’s artistic vision meeting Brintons’ technical mastery, and the result was something timeless. It remains one of our best-selling collections and a defining moment in our journey.”
Leah Jack highlights The Curator Collection as another standout, particularly for its daring approach to color.
“That collaboration pushed me to think differently about color, and those insights still influence my design decisions today.”
Together, these collections reflect the creative dialogue, technical precision, and innovative spirit that have defined the partnership from the very beginning.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating
As Brintons and Stacy Garcia Design Studio celebrate 15 years of collaboration, Imperfect Opulence stands as a testament to their shared passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
